"... The Tarot reading all came together and for the first time I actually feel a sense of achievement. It wasn't just the individual cards that seemed to speak through me but also their juxtaposition, overall patterns and then other patterns within those patterns (like wheels within wheels) and we literally identified a cycle of behaviour that the Querent had played out over a number of years ... the Tarot felt like a living breathing organism that was holding my hand and each card contained aspects of every other card. My biggest challenge was to put into words the feelings that the cards and spread conveyed to me. The querent said she expected nothing but a professional reading as it was me but was amazed at how I wove and told such an accurate story of her life from pieces of brightly coloured card!"

The Path of the Adept
Apprenticeship & Adeptship in the Western Esoteric Tradition
Date: 19th-20th June 2010 (run only once per year, application only, £155)
In this weekend workshop, for the first time, the entire initiatory path of the western esoteric tradition - from Apprenticeship to Adepthood (and beyond) - will be revealed, explained, and demonstrated in a truly contemporary manner. The two-day experience will take your soul on a journey encompassing Kabbalah, Magick, Ritual, and Initiation. You will be provided a clear map of the Grade system used (and often misunderstood) by many occult schools, and the true nature of the work expected of the Magician. We will introduce the Dweller on the Threshold, the Holy Guardian Angel and the Demon of the Abyss, in a no-nonsense overview of the whole initiatory journey.
The nature and role of magic and mysticism will be explored, touching on the lives of practitioners as varied as St. John of the Cross to St. Bonaventure, from Bernadette Roberts to Irina Tweedy. Lesser-known works will be revealed such as the Book of Hru and the Book of Nine Rocks. We will complete the weekend with an overview of modern magick, including Ma'at Magick, Thelema, Chaos Magick, FluX Magick, and a variety of other systems.
You will learn how the concepts of Alchemy correspond to Jungian ideas of trauma and mental breakdown, which in turn play a transformative role in western mysticism. I will provide simple explainations of specific issues in the tradition, for example, why the Golden Dawn grade of "Adeptus Minor" was split into sub-grades, and what this might mean to your life! The weekend will cover many unknown occultists and secret schools, as well as more well-known groups such as the Golden Dawn and the O.T.O./A.A.
It is the first time a practitioner of thirty years experience - combined with PhD-level research into this specific subject - has presented a comprehensive overview of the system in this manner. As such, it is based on primary materials (diaries and letters written by Aleister Crowley, the founders and members of the Golden Dawn and others) and primary experience - of the Abramelin Working and many other profound magical techniques. As a licensed NLP trainer, with some twenty-years of experience in leading groups and individuals in this Work, I will assure you an authentic, open and supportive experience to progress your own spiritual development.
You are welcome to join me on what I believe is a unique presentation and experience. Most of the weekend will be based on personal experience and unpublished or lesser-known works, rather than the commercial and public writings now easily available and yet often entirely empty of content. I will offer simple exercises for you to experience some of the techniques taught in this tradition.
As it is suitable for beginners as well as those with experience or already taking courses with us, I expect high interest, so please do reserve a place as early as possible. The fee will cover the venue and refreshments, which will be provided. I cannot think of any other workshop of this nature, in the most beautiful venue in the country, with full course materials provided - making this an entirely unmissable event!
